I refer to massage therapy and bodywork as “therapeutic touch”. This best describes the intention behind my work as a massage therapist. I use my intuition and a combination of techniques and modalities in each session to provide a therapeutic experience to the client. You will experience a sense of relaxation in your physical body, as well as gentleness and “softening” in your mental and emotional bodies after our sessions.


Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Hollis's work is strongly based on Structural Integration, which is a system of soft tissue manipulation focussed on properly aligning the whole body. The work is usually quite slow, giving the ability to acces the deeper layers of muscle more effectively. "You can never go too deep, just too fast".


Swedish Massage is known to be a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It is also the most common style of massage I give. It can, however, also be quite vigorous, depending on the needs of the client. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion, as well as stretching, to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, increased circulation, and greater flexibility.


Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports can be harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

A Mix of modalities

I will typically use a mix of different modalities during our sessions. I use my intuition and experience to communicate with my clients body and give them the most effective treatment required for them in that moment.

I always consider the specific requests of my clients to best help me serve their healing experience in each situation.
